One of the greatest gifts we have is the ability to create.  I have been meeting so many great people that love to make things.  You can meet them as well when you visit a local craft show.  I am not talking about people who buy things and then sell them for a profit.  I am talking about people who take the time to make things from scratch.  Here are some that I have met.  Please take the time to look at their websites and enjoy the beautiful things that they have created!

What a perfect addition to a Holiday Fair.  Right down the row from my booth was a couple who restore and sell vintage horse and sleigh bells.  They also have new bells and reproductions.  The sound brought back memories of when I was a little girl as my grandfather would take us for sleigh rides.  All you could hear was the sleigh sliding through the snow and the bells from the horses.  Life is very good!

Harry Clarke is an incredibly talented woodworker.  I met him in Elizabeth Illinois.  These are a few of the items he has for sale.  But check out his site to get the full spectrum of his gift.  He makes spoons, spatulas, bowls, etc.  And check out his logo, I made him a matching apron to wear at his shows!

Nancy Jaekel started out selling $50 worth of handmade Christmas ornaments at her first craft show.  Now she has several employees, and still each ornament is handmade and personalized at the time of purchase.

Bagatelle
Kris Hanson began by knitting hats, mittens, scarves, stockings.  But her new passion is in purses.  Every color and style you can imagine, and they are all perfectly made!

Three Sister's Quilting
Maxine Jacobs started quilting in the 90's.  She has made a beautiful quilt (or more) for each of the beds in my house along with some great flannel quilts for snuggling up in on the couch.  Maxine also makes tablerunners and wall-hangings.  She runs a long arm quilting business out of her home.

Sue Tuma began quilting about the same time as Maxine, and makes beautiful quilts.  She owns a long arm quilting machine and runs her business out of her home.  She makes quilts, tablerunners, and wall-hangings as well.

Specializing in decorative metal and glass sculptures for the garden, Dave and Jane do fabulous work.  If you get a chance, stop into their studio on beautiful Lake Pepin.

Beekeeping is in our roots. We have six generations of bee-knowledge between us and a love for these gentle and delicate insects that is strong and true. Our world revolves around our bees; their health, their flowers, their hives and yes, their happiness! Our best summer days are spent kneeling next to a hive listening to the gentle buzzing and watching the flurry of activity. We have been entrusted with these magical creatures and do our best to care for them in the most natural way possible. The harmony and understanding between us and our bees allows us to offer you the best products possible; just honest, sweet goodness.
